Structure and characteristics

The VL range, widely recognized as the "Haulage King", has a proven track record of outstanding reliability and durability in demanding pumping applications.

The wet ends of the VL range are manufactured from hardened chrome alloy, providing excellent abrasion resistance and ensuring an extended service life, even under harsh operating conditions.

The VLU Hydro Solid range features a recessed vortex impeller design. While this configuration offers slightly lower hydraulic efficiency compared with conventional pumps where the impeller is positioned directly in the flow path, it provides a significant advantage in handling large abrasive solids. The recessed impeller allows large solids to pass through the suction inlet and be discharged through the pump without directly impacting or damaging the impeller.

The VLU Hydro Solid is specifically designed for pumping sludge and slurries containing large abrasive solids, entrained air, and fibrous materials, making it an ideal solution for challenging and demanding applications.

The pump section of the VLS vertical sump pump consists of a semi-open impeller, wear plate, pump casing, sealing plate, and base. A small clearance is maintained between the impeller and wear plate, providing excellent hydraulic performance with high head and high efficiency. The VLS is particularly suitable for pumping liquids containing small-diameter solid particles.
